About the Instructor:
Even though Tonia was born and raised in Houston, it was during her college years in Baton Rouge at Louisiana State University that her debut novel, Fashionably Deceptive, began to manifest. Always an avid writer and reader, Tonia decided to try her hand at writing a novel based “loosely” around the lives, fantasies, and experiences of her college roommates. That idea would manifest itself into a masterpiece of a novel that still has readers hooked from start to finish.
Fashionably Deceptive, Tonia’s debut novel, was the first of three novels to come based around three college roommates, Kayla, Pharris, and Jordan, and the trials that they are forced to face in their relationships, friendships, and desire to accomplish their dreams. Each of these memorable characters will either embody you or someone that you know.
Tonia moved back to Houston after graduation to pursue a career in Education and to continue reaching for her goal of becoming the next big bestselling author. Since her return, she has released both the sequel to Fashionably Deceptive, A Fashionable Revelation, and her first stand alone novel, Punishment is Due. All three of her novels would debut on the Amazon best-selling list for her genre.
When Tonia is not writing or working with adolescents, she is helping other writers self publish their work, traveling the world, travel blogging, or curating the travel of others for her recently launched company, Travels by Tonia.
